'After completing my degree in Cybernetics and Computer Science at Reading University I joined the Accelerated Graduate Training Programme at DB Consulting. The program was tailored to me, allowing me to experience all stages of the development life cycle before deciding the type of career I wanted to pursue.

I have had the opportunity to develop skills on a wide variety of technologies and have been able to apply them to client projects where my work is truly noticed and more importantly, it is valued. This has been from the head office in Windsor, on client sites and occasionally from the comfort of my own home. DB Consulting has continued to invest in myself and the other graduates with training courses and has offered company time to gain additional qualifications.

Working along side some of the best consultants in their fields really has given me the motivation and aspirations to continue to improve both my technical skill set and my business aptitude so I may too be on par with them. DB Consulting has helped me to do this by giving me key responsibilities and placing their trust in me to complete the work without intense monitoring.

Working for a small friendly company with a flat organisational structure truly has its benefits. I feel that I know my colleagues at all levels on a personal level and am able to regularly interact with the senior team members contributing valued suggestions which are taken into consideration.' - Paul.

'Before joining DB Consulting I was at Southampton University studying computer Science. From there I was looking to join a small to medium Software Solutions company where individuals would not get lost in the shuffle. DB Consulting seemed to fit perfectly with that.

On joining I was eased into the testing team working on the multi-service/application solution used by the country’s largest surveying company. After a .NET course I then moved onto developing the solution, both in a support context and large pieces of new development.

I enjoy the work and the familiar atmosphere of the office. I hope to start down the road of becoming a Microsoft .Net Professional Developer soon although I am also interested in the field of project management.' - Tim.

'I have been working at DB Consulting for more than a year now, and have found myself appreciating and valuing the people and the organization more and more over this period. The environment in which I work in has been friendly and helpful from day one and my work has always been highly valued. Overall it is a relatively small but very ambitious organisation where none of the staff feel alienated and maintain a close association with the management and the overall vision for the company. The flexibility of working hours and location is a great convenience and also encourages us to work with more personal responsibility.

The Graduate Programme has provided me invaluable training opportunities, through formal courses and on the job guidance to improve my skills. I know exactly the goals set out for me at any stage of the graduate scheme and how I should go about working towards their achievements. The idea of assigning a personal mentor to every graduate is absolutely brilliant and plays a very important role in our development.' - Lixiu.
