DB Consulting signs BOARD Business Partnership Agreement

London, 3 February 2012. DB Consulting, has announced a business partnership agreement with BOARD International, the global provider of Business Intelligence (BI) and Performance Management (PM) software.

BOARD’s single integrated approach to BI and PM delivers business critical information quickly and easily, integrating the processes of budgeting, planning and forecasting
with reporting, analysis, dashboarding and scorecarding all in one system. BOARD’s fast and flexible programming-free environment delivers precisely what an organisation needs to meet both immediate and long-term strategic vision.

Nick Hill, Marketing Director at DB Consulting says: “Understanding corporate performance is fundamental to the well-being of any organisation, never more so than in the current challenging economic circumstances. Looking at tools which could help

us deliver the kind of business insight our customers are asking for, we evaluated a number of BI and CPM tools. For us, BOARD’s combination of BI and CPM capabilities, fully integrated within a single product, made it the clear winner. BOARD significantly extends our capability to deliver powerful, non-intrusive BI and CPM solutions. I am greatly looking forward to working with Dominic and his team at BOARD.”

Children in Need 2011

DB Consulting will be supporting Children In Need 2011 by helping raise money through the sale of cupcakes.

Every year fresh cream Pudsy cakes are baked and sent around the offices in the building
in order to raise money for the great cause. This year all the cupcakes were sold out before lunch and £209 was collected.

Many thanks to everyone who took part this year.

Dale’s charity bike ride

DB Consulting Senior Business Analyst Dale Poulter is taking part in the London to South
Coast Off-road Bike Ride 2011
on 24 September, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

It’s no easy challenge: a seventy-five mile route from central London through the Surrey
suburbs and into Sussex, finishing in Brighton. The route mixes cycle path and single track trails, through rolling hills and forests (with a tough final section across the South Downs, just when you think you’re almost there!) This will be the longest charity ride Dale has undertaken, and DB Consulting will be supporting Dale all the way. We wish him the very best of luck.

If you would like to help Dale achieve his target you can donate via his justgiving page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DalePoulter

Agile and Lean in Finance, 22 September

‘Agile’ refers to an adaptive, incremental approach to solutions development, with strong
emphasis on delivering value. In contrast, ‘Lean’ represents a widely adopted approach to continuous improvement, designed to improve performance by removing barriers which disrupt workflow in existing systems. Both concepts, Agile and Lean, are particularly attractive and suited to finance sector environments where business requirements change frequently and reaction time is critical.

On 22 September, Unicom will be hosting the second annual Agile and Lean in Finance conference. DB Consulting’s Colin Weaver is scheduled to kick off the event with the day’s first session: Ten Golden Rules for Success with Agile.
