BUSINESS PROCESS AND FORMS

SharePoint contains simple, out-of-the-box functionality to create electronic forms and automate standard business processes. Data captured through these electronic forms can easily be integrated with standard Microsoft Office products such as Outlook to give a more streamlined and effective business process.

Forms can be created using InfoPath and the workflow associated with these forms can be easily automated. This includes sending forms for review, approval or as a data capture mechanism into other applications via tools such as web services.

These forms can be either made available via the SharePoint portal or can be sent in embedded emails for data to be entered.
