Network Asset Management

In a multinational telecommunications business, managing network assets effectively is critical. DB Consulting provided an integrated Oracle solution that allows this major European telecommunications company to track network assets throughout their lifecycle.

The solution replaces paper requests for shipments from the central warehouse with online requests. Standard Oracle online processes provide an availability check so the user can confirm that the assets is free and available.

Oracle Application Express was used to create real time enquiry and reporting screens. The supply chain system is now fully integrated from purchasing through shipping, installation and recovery from network.

Billing

When this major European telecommunications company needed a new ‘fit-for-purpose’ billing system, they selected Oracle Receivables as the platform for the new billing system. DB Consulting was chosen to deliver the project.

We fast-tracked the implementation, integrating Oracle with Siebel CRM to ensure the availability of correct, up-to-date contract data, and resolving data issues prior to migration.

The new billing system supports the end-to-end billing process eliminated manual re-keying of data and most of the billing errors which required credit notes to be issued.
